What is Colic? It is a baby that does not stop crying throughout the day. Experts call and identify it by the rule of threes, crying for three hours or more a day at least three days a week for few months. Women who smoke during pregnancy are more likely to have a colicky baby. It usually begins at the third week of the infants life until four months of age. The babies immature digestive system creates discomfort for them to have stomach aches. The pediatrician may suggest changing formulas to check which one will be best for your baby's tummy. Babies cry to tell you something is hurting them and they are uncomfortable. Just make sure the baby is not constipated. One home remedy would be: boil some annis seeds for ten minutes after washing them really well to clean them from any sand mixed with them. Drain the seeds out and cool the annis water and give it to your baby once or twice a day. This will help the baby's stomach and give their tummy some comfort.
